flashing means we have to install something ha?
No, you modify the FlashROM (pretty much like flashing the BIOS of a motherboard, but only within the OS :D)

Exactly! It is one of a kind!!! I have flashed mine (DRU-810) to Benq DW1640 :)

Not that feature rich as the latest models, but the burn quality and read performance impeccable.

yeah.. i thought it only burned at 12x... but yesterday i got some AFA dvds to burn and i could burn them at 16x

Imation sux! Verbatim (or Mitsubishi Chemical) rox!

P.S.
Imation is made by a company called CMC. They suck! Same company makes discs for TDK. They suck too! :oo:

AFA is the cheapest here... at 40 rs.. cant say no to them
Rs.40 is still too expensive. Verbatims are about Rs.55-60 at Unity AFAIK. Hell, who cares? My dad bought them for his stuff. I'm simply helping myself

AFA is ok for temporary stuff. But very dangerous for backup purposes.
