What IDM shows it wrong.
But we (I) actually tested it against the other competitors while ago (search the forum and see) and IDM still came up first....by a long way.

This isn't what is shown. I calculated the speed by the time it took to download and the file size.
But this isn't with the latest versions.

No. When IDM was showing 60kBps or even 80kBps (well it shows :P), my network monitor showed only 55kBps.

from dap too.. one time 1 downloaded a mp3 at 62 KBPS.. never went down.. but i calculated speeds after it downloaded...(by divideing the size of the file by the duration).. the average came as 51.32 KBPS...so what u see is not what you get

I assure you, you did your math wrong :P

P.S.
Remember, IDM starts downloading as soon as that windows appears asking where you wanna save it. (So if you take 30 seconds to set the paths etc. it could even have finished the download) It doesn't put that time in the Time Elapsed.

I disabled that 'Start Immediately' Option when I test.
But I think I need to test again.
But cant do it with my AVG :(
