What brand is your DVD ....?

That 2 year old burner is a Gigabye GO-W1608A which I got converted to a Liteon SOHW-1653S (because it's a rebadged Liteon drive). I paid Rs.13,500 for that!! :(

My current burner is a Sony DRU-810A which I got converted to a Benq DW1640 (because it's a rebadged Benq drive which has more features than the Sony). I paid Rs.7,500 for it (it's more than a year old as well).

Oh don't buy a Samsung. They aren't in the top of the list. Besidses, their drives are made by Toshiba I think.

yep, they make them with toshiba.I think they r good , but at other electronics.Usually samsung brings up the moddest or fastest RAMs and sell the technology i think.Or they mostly sell the chips..

They are the ones to bring the latest stuff with RAM, but IMO, they are not good at maturing a technology to the maximum.
