    eh...
    it's JW blue label.....

JW Blue isn't really smooth (it's made this way) as it's not a single malt. It has a different appeal.

This is what happens when you try to show off without knowing rats ass about alcohol.

"It's the most expensive bottle i know so it must be the smoothest and i better tell these buggers that i have had JW Blue"

You'd be ruining a good scotch if you add ice . Optimal taste only comes with room temperature ;)

Scotch/bourbon on rocks(ice) surely dilute the flavour and ruin the taste.
It's melted ice(water) which ruin the taste, not the chill comes from ice.
But you can chill the drink with a whisky stones/rocks and have the perfect chilled drink without compromising the taste.
Specially when you having a drink in the summertime, and still want the chill, but not the ice which ruin the taste, whisky stones are the way to go.

Almost all good scotch and bourbon distilleries have their own whisky stones/whiskey rocks, which made out of stainless or soapstones.
Time to time those stones comes free with a bottle of whisky as a promotion or you can buy them.

I don't mind the ice cube from the ice dispenser. The stone/rock isn't that effective as the ice cube in cooling. Also you get the fish, prawn flavour in the cube being inside the freezer which will surely spoil the whisky.:oo:
BTW the Tilt chilling sphere works better than the stone.
