I'm hoping to do a Dual Boot with Windows 7, along side one of the following;
1. CentOS 6.2
2. Fedora 17
3. Ubuntu 12.04
4. Linux Mint 13
5. Pinguy OS

What do you all think is the best? Thanks Guys :)

My main goal is to work on system administration tasks and use the multimedia tools too.

    Cool thanks, I agree with you i've been working on it for few days now running on VMware but nothing like having it cleanly running right?
    CentOs was supported for servers other than desktop version. So in the previous versions there are many issues working with laptops. (power management errors, black light errors). but version 6.2 they fixed that bugs.:cool:

    that's cool, would it work with the method used by prathapa89's post using WUBI?

    Why do you prefer Mint machan? can you elaborate on ur decision?

    Mint supports lots of propriety software such as multimedia applications ... it is an improved distro of ubuntu ... community support is good ... easy to use ... look n feel also good ;)

    Cent Os is more light weight and it is very resource intensive ... good to run a web server
