Why do people (in SL mainly) fall for the higher video RAM = better gaming TRAP?

Just felt like asking.

99% of people in Unity Plaza (sellers and buyers both parties) considered... the first question they ask when buying/selling a VGA how much is a VGA with "this much" RAM/how about a VGA with "this much" RAM.

Why is it that when you are buying a PC, you mainly look at the CPU (very bad thing) and when buying the VGA you mainly look at the amount of video RAM (again, as bad as previous case)....when VGA is actually a small PC itself??? Why don't people look at the processor in the VGA???

IF EK wasn't there to educate us on these stuff still i would also be looking in to the RAM of VGA thnx to U guyz im not like that any more

Because of their laziness and unwillingness to learn.
Simple example : just look at how many threads are in EK asking for various things that can be found with a simple search in google and yet they ask for it here in EK.
Same thing applies when they are buying hardware. They make no research in to subject and just asks someone else about it take their word for it.
