unfortunately today the backtrack servers has an internal error. its a linux operating system based on ubuntu kde running with a patched kernel to support penetrative, analytical, forensics and much more. download it, use 32 or 64 architecture, make sure u r downloading ISO,

you should be having a network card which can be put in to monitoring mode. u can check it using terminal on back track and type
airmon-ng
then it will show your interface mostly this is wlan0 or mon0 oe eth0 depending up on ur card, then type
airmon-ng start (your interface)
my one is wlan0 so i type it as
airmon-ng start wlan0
then if its enableing monitoring mode.. ( you can see that on terminal)
you can do much more things than hacking wep and all...
