Machan is there a wire transfer limit that can be send to sri lanka from overseas?lets say if you send 20000usd to a bank account will it be hold?

No such limit afaik. But foreign currency fund transfers from Sri Lanka may require Inland Revenue/Centrel Bank clearance depending on the amount, purpose and the source of funds.
