World Press Photo winners 2010
Jodi Bieber's portrait of 18-year-old Bibi Aisha, whose husband sliced off her nose and ears in a case of Taliban-administered justice, has won the World Press Photo award for 2010. Aisha now lives in the US.
Canadian photographer Ed Ou’s picture of Somali refugees on their way to Yemen won him first prize in the Contemporary Issues Stories category
These Whooper Swans were photographed in Japan by Stefano Unterthiner while working for National Geographic.
