try elegeion which is also from australia ...with dominant female vocals there album through the eyes of regret is awesome. ..hmm other bands like cryptal darkness would be before the rain, inborn suffering, necare, saturnus, officium triste, forest of shadows, whispering gallery, morphia....and this sort is called meladic/atmospheric death/doom metal ...while you should excuse me for being such a genre nazi, there's a shitload of that sorta bands you'll love bro lol.

lol my friends listen to shit i dont even tell them what the hell im listening to. anyway i've realized that doom is the most perfect form of music to me..i think everybody has a particular perfect genre which is doom in my case.
