    CD,DVD drivers,keyboard, monitor,mouse,speaker,printer,UPS ඕනෙ නෑ.

    පොඩි සල්ලි ප්‍රශ්නෙකුත් තියෙන හන්ද පහසු ගෙවීමේ ක්‍රම තියෙන තැනක් වෙන්ඩත් ඕනෙ (I have a HSBC credit card).

(heard a place as metropolitan but do not know more than the name)
    ස්තූතියි.

    your budget is extremely low for your proposed setup. You are looking at a 100,000+ budget all inclusive if going to buy an i7. the CPU+ motherboard alone will cost you 40-50,000. If you want to run Virtual PCs the minimun should be an i5 2500 series. I still can't figure out how you can fit everything in your budget. Let me give you a hint.

    casing - 2000
    550W PSW - 8000
    8GB DDR3 Ram - 8000
    1TB HDD - 12,000
    core i5 CPU - 24,000+
    motherboard - 15,000

    total = ~70,000

    i3 cpus don't support HW accellarted virtualization extensions so the minimum is an i5. as you can see your setup is way over budget.and if you are thinking of running 2 VPC's at the same time with the above config, don't. i5's are dualcore cpus with HT. Virtual machines would like to have real cpu cores oposed to virual cores. I have an i5 laptop and running two windows XP virtual machines with barely anything on them taxes the cpu very much.

    thank you guys for all the feedback.
    hmmm looks like I have to either get some money from my parents or to find a place that gives a facility on installments. My friends do you guys know any place that gives installment facility on a custom made PC ?

    I am bit interest on "AMD FX-8150" because my previous one was a "AMD athlon" and was good.

    is there any bit older processor that I can do the same like intel quad core ?

    P.S. found a good article on this too in sinhala

    tomshardware කියන්නේ intel වලටයි nvidia වලටයි අදින site එකක්....:dull:
    මං ඒක හොඳට අධ්‍යයනය කරලා තියෙනවා...
    සමහර වෙලාවට වෙන site වල තියෙන benchmark වල AMD performance වැඩි වුනත්, මුන්ගේ site එකේ අඩුයි...:angry::growl:

    ඒවගේම benchmark වලටම වහල්වෙන්න හොඳ නැහැ, ගොඩක් වෙලාවට benchmark softwares හදල තියෙන්නේ intel prossisiors සහ nvidia graphic card පාදක කරගෙනයි...:rolleyes:

    මං මේ හිතල කියන ඒවා නෙවෙයි, මේවත් benchmark කරන site වලම තියෙනවා.....:nerd:
    අපිට දැනෙන විදියයි benchmark වලට දැනෙන විදියයි වෙනස්වෙන්න පුළුවන්, එහෙම වෙච්ච එකක් තමයි මේ පහතින් තියෙන AMD blind test ඒක...:dull:
    i5 2500 නෙවෙයි, i7 2600k වලටත් වැඩිය AMD 8150 හොඳයි කියලයි use කරපු උන්ගේ votes වලට පෙන්නේ........:dull:

    pc එක AMD 8150 ද intel 2600k ද කියල කියන්නේ නැතුව use කරන්න දුන්නේ...

    The AMD Reality Check Challenge

    The Pepsi Challenge has been an ongoing marketing promotion run by PepsiCo since 1975. It all started when a Pepsi employee setup a table with two blank cups: one containing Pepsi and one with Coca-Cola. Shoppers were then encouraged to taste both colas, and then select which drink they prefer. Then the representative then revealed what brands were in each cup. At the end of the day the public was doing a blind taste test and the company was getting a consensus of what brand was preferred by more consumers. Over the years this test has been copied by thousands and today AMD is putting their own twist to the challenge down in Dallas, Texas for the FX GamExperience.
    amd-challenge.jpg
    For the challenge AMD setup up an area of the FX GamExperience venue with four test systems for two heads up tests. AMD was officially calling this the AMD reality check.

    amd-ballot.jpg
    Each test station had a ballot that allowed the testers to check the system that gave them a better gaming experience. AMD had roughly 140 people take the challenge during the single day event.

    test-systems.jpg
    The first test that the gamers were issued was down on a pair of $500 gaming machines. System A was powered by an Intel Core i3-2105 ' Sandy Bridge' processor with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and an ASRock H61 motherboard. System B was powered by an AMD A8-3850 'Llano' APU with Radeon HD 6550D on an ASRock A55 motherboard. All of the rest of the components were identical. The obvious goal of this test was to look at similarly priced systems and to see if there was a noticeable difference in gaming performance due to the integrated graphics.

    The AMD Reality Check Results:

    • System A (Intel Core i3-2105): 5 Votes
    • System B (AMD A8-3850): 136 Votes
    • No Difference: 2 Votes
    The winner here was clear, but most of our readers know that AMD integrated graphics are leaps and bounds ahead of what Intel offers on their processors. No big shocker here!

    amd-system2.jpg
    The next challenge given to gamers was two high-end systems that were both running AMD Radeon HD 7970 'Tahati' DirectX 11 graphics cards running an Eyefinity display setup. The Intel system was powered by an Intel Core-i7 2700K 'Sandy Bridge' processor with an ASRock P67 Fatal1ty motherboard and 8GB of AMD DDR3 performance memory. The AMD system was powered by the FX-8150 'Bulldozer' processor an ASRock 990FX Fatal1ty and the same 8GB of AMD DDR3 performance memory. The key to this demo was focused on processor performance and not graphics performance. The Intel Core i7-2700K retails for $369.99 and the AMD FX-8150 retails for $269.99, so the question here was if gamers could tell a difference between the systems.

    The AMD Reality Check Results:

    • System C (Intel Core i7-2700K): 40 Votes
    • System D (AMD FX-8150): 73 Votes
    • No Difference: 28 Votes
    It appeared that AMD was looking for a no difference win here with the setup, but the gamers voted for system with the AMD FX-8150 'Bulldozer' processor in it. Pretty interesting test and we are glad to see companies doing challenges like this and willing to risk coming out the loser.

    ae chipset series eka dead end ekak.

    මේතාක් නම් dead end උනේ intel chip set තමයි .... අඩුගානේ backward compatibility වත් නැහැ. upgrade කිරිල්ලක් නැහැ, ගන්නවානම් board එකයි prossisor එකයි දෙකම ගන්න ඕන..:angry::growl:

    AMD නම් තවමත් backward compatibility හරි තියනවා. මං ළඟ තියෙන්නෙත් 990FXA තමා.:D
    එත් prossisor එක phenom 2 X4.:D

    990 chip set එකම තමයි ඊළඟ buldozer genaration එකටත් use වෙන්නේ ('volan ' platform or 'piledriver' cores or something....:oo:) , 1090 කියලත් chip set එකක් එනෝ, but එකේ වෙනස usb3 support එක විතරයි, ඒවා 990 එකේ use කරන්න පුළුවන්....:dull::D
