machan it is not always the case... some companies share the inner details also with us. the problem in this is sometime the big picture is too big for a developer to handle. that may be the case that some companies do not share the complete picture. For me I know what is happening in my project. thing is it is overwhelming. the current project FS is around 180pgs and TS is around another 150pgs. So it is upto you to dive deep in it or not.
It is not easy having the full idea of a project like that. but company I'm working gives it to the team. so you can't say that big (in SL context) hides information from the developers always.
