    dan thiyana web family eka 20GB panna kiyala slow wenne naha. mama danne naha ehema limit wen naththe mage witharada kiyala. matanam parana home express ekata wadaa webfamily eka hondatama hondai.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    For all the people who are suffering from slow SLT ADSL Connections:

    Go to your area office or regional office and meet the Manager to lodge a complain. That person will say that they cannot take you off from the blacklist.
    Then ask him for a written statement mentioning that they have blacklisted your connection because of the high usage. You can tell that you need a letter to complain to TRCSL. Then they will say that they are not in a position to offer a written letter.

    Then you have to take your mobile out and call call these people while staying in the area managers cabin!

    Mr. Chinthaka Wijesuoriya ( SLT Customer service manager - 0112348002)
    Mr. Nishantha Karawita ( Deputy General Manager Sri Lanka Telecom PLC - 0112823322 )

    Explain the scenario to them and give the phone to area manager. Then they will fix your connection immediately :)
    No need to go and report to TRCSL :)

    After that they will not come to blacklist or limit your UNLIMITED INTERNET connection!

    AFAIK When you switch to web family package you can download limitlessly for more than 3 months. Even I know a few guys who have been downloading more than 300GB for last 2 months with 8MB FUP package,but couldn't find anyone who switched from 512 to 8Mb 3 months+ before.

    Although if you download unlimitedly with 8MB Fup package you gotta be careful coz as with your agreement they can charge 250/= per additional 1GB you download exceeding 25GB with no FUP or what so ever.

    If SLT charge for this additional 787 GB he will get a bill for,

    787 * 250 = 196750.00 Rs

    Insane Ha!:rofl: but fortunately he's still paying normal 2000 Rs. for this.

    787GB?...damn that is a lot..:) this is 25GB web family package right?u said 2000Rs per month...is n`t that should be 1490Rs per month?
    they charge 250Rs for additional 1 GB if u need that 1GB in 8 mbps speed..:)
    03 To avoid speed reduction, customer can request for additional volume. Rs.250 per GB will be charged for
    additional usage.
    for me,this still sucks :(

    yep machan it works

    just have a chat with the DGM. he is a cool guy. when u call that number, his secretary will tell u that she will take down the complain, but try to go through her and talk with the manager :)
    and dont tell that you are downloading peer to peer stuff (torrents)
