You change the lens for a better zoom. your best zoom will be at 55mm.

Drop the ISO to 800/1600. Set white balance to Auto, or if you can manually set it. Set a wide open aperture. I think you can go to f2.8 on 18-55VR.

Then using the built in lightmeter, figure out the correct exposure adjusting your shutter. Most pobably you will run in to a good 8 seconds.
