The food processing kills the bactiria (hot water). And mostly its just a scare. Its really impossible for 1 slump of bactria to infect 1000 tonnes. Mostly they are not sure at what point the the bactiria was exposed so they recall the entire lot.
At least, they test it. Can you say the same for Sri Lankan products? My dad went to a milk factory last year, he had noticed that the workers were walking over mountans of milk powder (insde a basin in the factory), which they are suppose to wear boots, some did, some didn't. See how clean local milk is?
