Yes, Ordering via Kapruka we don't have to do anything. But if get something directly we will have to go customs. As i know VAT number is necessary when importing items over Rs 10000 value. What DHL does it clearing items with their own VAT.

you got it wrong mate. i never got anything via kapruka. i said "the kinds of items you buy through them." i mean what ever they buy we too can buy and no need of vat docs. i "personally" imported weigh protein worth 36k and paid only 2k.

I got my refund today.

here is the long story short.

Last Wednesday or Tuesday I called kapruka and ask about my package status. and they said "Sir it has arrived Sri Lanka. and will be able to give you it by Friday or Saturday"

then since it didn't arrive by Sunday, I called them again then they said, "Sir item is still in clearance process at customs, but will be available by Wednesday". then just to check I called them on Tuesday. and they said sir it will be available in next Friday. I was pissed, and I asked for a final delivery day, and the GIRL said, sir I need to check it with manager, I will call you before today 5.00pm.
that call never arrived, then I called them today, as usual they didn't answer the phone, and then they placed handset away for sometime (phone line was busy every time I called) then I called hotline-sales, man at the sales said "sir please contact global shop". well I couldn't contact GS, because phone line was fucking busy.

then suddenly I received a call from GS. It was the girl, and she said "Sir I called you yesterday but you did not answer. (load of Bulls**t)" "and sir I talked to the manager, and item is still in USA!!!!!"

Funny right? item was sent back to USA from sri lankan customs office less than in 12hrs !!!! (ammapa munge boru)

I was super pissed, and I asked for a refund. and she said "ok sir you will have your refund in to days"

well how can I trust their word? every word was a lie, I mean item at sri lankan customs office suddenly and mysteriously appeared in USA ne (wormhole ekak wath hoyagenada danne na mun)

So I went to GS today. talked to them told them either give me the item within this week or refund me, and waited their until the refund me. I got the email saying they issued the refund.

so they asked sir if they deliver the goods within next to weeks would you interested in purchasing it.

So I gave them until 18th, if they deliver it I will pay, otherwise I will move to another option.

Unlike them I will keep my word and wait till 18th. if they deliver me the PROPER item, I will buy, other wise bye bye kapruka.

but if the refund is not in my bank account in 48hrs, lets see what happens

ah by the way, I observed how they respond to phone calls.
basically they ignore the calls, making funny faces like saying "anna aru aye katha karanawa, mala wade" . that is how their customer service work.

Say no to kapruka.
