Satellite China effect 'three objects' suspected Malaysian aircraft lost
China’s civil aviation chief said on Thursday that there was no proof that floating objects in the South China Sea seen by satellite images were connected to a missing Malaysia Airlines aircraft.
"Chinese satellites have found smoke and floating objects ... At present we cannot confirm this is related to the missing aircraft," Li Jiaxiang told reporters on the sidelines of

"I would not be surprised to find that those satellite images do represent some part of the [missing] plane" said science expert Bill Nye.
Nye said the Chinese may have withheld the images "because you don't want the other guy to know what you know."
"It's not unreasonable to think that someone in the Chinese space administration figured that people would find that plane in a pretty straight forward fashion," said Nye.
