Good heavens, England have been obliterated. The Oval was merely a ray of light among the storm clouds which have swarmed over them again in the north-east. An absolute hammering by 157 runs. No-one expected that at half-time but after wickets with the new ball, Senanayake took over to rip through the lower-middle order and Sri Lanka have levelled the series in some style here.
