Dear ramishka,
Thanks for your detailed comments.
Are there any special things to check when we are buying this car ?
Nothing much really. I've got couple of friends who have these cars and i'm yet to hear about any specific fault other than normal running repairs.
The only thing that can give problems is the battery. If you buy a 2007/2008/2009 model, ensure you have the latest battery/engine/motor control module software. The 2010 and later models come with the latest software. Others you can get it updated.
If the vehicle you are buying has a new hybrid battery installed, ensure that they had updated the battery control module software when they changed the battery. Most people change batteries but dont know that sometimes the control module software need to change for the new battery.
When you get a battery health check done, you will see something called "High Voltage Battery Usable Capacity" in the scanner report. Make sure this is at least above 35%.
Most of the checks above can be done at Stafford or any technician with Honda Diagnostic System. But some even at Stafford dont know or dont care about the battery software updates etc. If you cant find a good place PM me i will send you contact details of my technician.
It's a good car. You will like it when you drive it.
