What Udari had done cannot be recorded in CCTV . She had taken new clothes to changing room and remove tags. This is why now there is a number tag given and a person is standing outside to collect if you do not wish to buy. Earlier there was no restriction on number of items taken for fit on and one could remove the tag(that is not the price tag, but the detector tag ) and put it in hand bag(ladies are allowed their hand bags inside and they cannot be examined except by a female). She had pleaded to release and also cried(acted) and had told that it was done as her husband did not buy cloches(acting again).
So there is no need of CCTV footage to prove her guilt. CCTV cannot record everything and there are lot of people who do shoplifting without getting caught.
I have to say this. I totally condemn what Odel did by publishing her photograph after getting caught. This is wrong . The security personnel in that shop are very swollen headed and this was a very high handed act. Most of the time they assault the thief(males only). But no one has so far complained. They do not have right to do so.
As much as stealing is wrong the subsequent conduct of the security personnel are also wrong. Keep in mind this is SL and right and wrong do not have same meaning

What you've said is quite true. There WAS a court case subsequent to the pilfering. The case number and all details were given in many websites. She had done it over a period of time and they had been suspecting her and had set a trap. Udari pleaded guilty and as far as I can remember she got a suspended sentence. She cannot hoodwink the public by saying this was all concocted.
Yes. Publishing her kneeling photos was wrong, but I remember reading that it was done by one of the staff members and not by Odel officially per se. Naturally, the staff members were livid, because whatever loss the company faces due to shop lifters, the staff has to pocket-out!
There is no use in trying to whitewash the issue because all the evidence prove that she did it.
