sri lanka is a lower middle income country with a $3,279 + gdp per capita. im not addressing super expensive luxury cars when i say cars. there are cheaper car models that most middle class lankans can afford if the country can reduce the high tax on cars.

car is not a priority thing for every one agreed . But in sri Lanka every one has a dream to buy a car and i believe including you,(at least fit for a small family) government should create a system people can afford a vehicle not just increasing the tax unnecessarily for all the vehicles. correct me if i am wrong?

    what i think is

If guy or girl take care of thr parents and got one or more kids need to have some system to get some kind of vehicle to help them.

1 majority of this kind of people will use thr vehicle for if they going out with all of the family members,
2 when parents need some medical support likewise.

But not for daily jolly ride( because they do not have the economy for jolly ride)

    right behind you
    there are few major points

    * The perception about vehicles in Sri Lanka should change
    * The market needs to change.
    * The public transport system should improve.
    * people should stop buying vehicles which they cannot afford.

Yes if they even don't own a house:lol:

owning a house is a dream for most of couples in sri lanka. limited space and raising population makes it hard for them to own their dream house. anyway owning a car is peanuts compared to owning a house :)
