Moratuwa IT demand is High
Moratuwa IT and Moratuwa CSE people are high paid due to the quality of the degree programme. There are 11 batches already passed out from the faculty and it's another reason that they got jobs before graduation(with high salaries).
Moratuwa IT course modules and CSE course modules are almost similar. (just check syllabuses by yur own).
Mora IT offers wide range of course modules im level 3 and level 4. therefore you can select modules according to your preferred path.(SE, N/W eng, DB admins .)
UCSC doesn't offer subjects in wide range. they got main 4 subejcts for three years, like database I, II, III, Data structures I,II,III. One of my friend shown me their second year programming IV , Databse II subjects, actually Mora IT ppl done those same concepts in their first two semesters. THat's hy they have opportunity to continue their third and fourth year with more technical and research type subjects (Natural language processing, Image processing, Data mining, Semantic web, Artificial neural networks).
Therefore Mora IT and CSE ppl always provide quality products for the industry. also students are hardworkers. UCSC four year degree is good one also. you can check for the Moratuwa IT and CSE ppl average salary scale and UCSC ppl average salaries if you want. Last time it's 80k to 1k for Mora IT. CSE went for 1.2k. (check 2012 surveys in ugc , that will give you an idea about how average salariy ranges for each course. In 2012 Mora IT and CSE ppl had 40k-50k range, both got same average salaries. for UCSC 4 year degree , it starts from 30k.)
Just check the demand for moartuwa IT and CSE . this time moratuwa CSE career fair is open for Moratuwa IT too . and Mora IT career fair will be open for cse ppl too/ cz both courses has high demand and four year degrees. Average salaries are 80k to 1.2 k for both courses(fresh graduates).
Colmbo CS 3 yr degree ppl get 50k and CS 4 year degrre is not much difference. Because all the students can't do the colombo CS 4 year, thats for limited students. some ppl who performed well will get 80ks in CS colombo. But see the demand for the courses first. WHen you come to industry you can see the salary differences for same levels. Even you can't imagine yet.
Finally i would like to say , just contact real people from particular university and ask about its quality. If you got chance to go for Mora IT, you are lucky. Just take the chance.
