taking lot of time and lots of process i have to sent it back to get a new one.. but there is no problem with normal screen awake, only problem for double tap.

1) MIUI 8.2.2 latest version.. issue was with previous version also.
2) seller is xiaomi dreami store
3) Nope.. Openbox Global
4) yes tried just factory reset.. whats master reset?

The replacement time would have been worth a try mate. See, now you've got to find solutions to overcome this problem and we cannot be sure what the problem is. I've never seen this green line on my phone anyway.

Anyway,

My suggestion is to unlock the bootloader, flash MIUI 8.2.2.0 using MiFlash and check whether the problem would still persist.

If so, install TWRP and flash a custom ROM such as XiaomiEU or Lineage OS and check whether the problem will still persist. If yes, bad luck

Factory reset is same as master reset

What is bootloader unlocking? is it rooting?

Before flashing any ROM, you have to unlock the bootloader of your phone. Since your phone was an open box one with Global ROM, the bootloader might have already been unlocked by the seller. However, there's a possibility of flashing global ROM without unlocking BL and that's how geekbuying does it. You need to check using adb tool whether the BL is locked or not.

There are more than enough guides on unlocking the BL and guides on using MiFlash. I have not personally used MiFlash though.
