All the credit goes to the owner who kept recording all his journeys

Two years experience with Nissan Leaf - Sri Lanka
Model - 2014 X Grade JDM Leaf
Odometer Reading at the Port Clearance (importing) - 6442km
After one year odometer reading - 26304km
After two years odometer reading – 46167km
Mileage done within two years by myself - 39725km
SOH at importing - 100%
SOH after One year - 90%
SOH after two years – 83% (12 battery capacity bars still available)
Average energy economy – above 9km/kWh
Highlights
Never set charging timers and always charged leaf up to 100% (few times stopped charging by less than 100% if it’s kept few days without using)
Many depth charging (I would say more than 80% charging done at below 20% up to 100% and around 25% charging done below 5% of available, with ”- -“sign appears)
No of L3 DC fast charging did with in two year - 153 (Only 31 FC did at Japan and now 184 L3)
No of L2 charging did with in the year about 970
More than 85% of the total mileage did by over 50km distance travelling
During my Jaffna tour did 211km by 84% battery drain without AC (Early morning drive)
Did 8km s after appearing tortoise sign on dashboard (Five times did survival mission after tortoise sign appeared too)
Did 64km from Galle to Beruwala home by 21% remaining battery percentage without tortoise sign appearing (3km per 1% battery drain, with out A/C)
Expenditure for Service and Repairs – Less than 25,000
Even my average mileage per month is about 1700 km, residence monthly electricity bill around LKR 5000.00 (It’s not about special tariff or anything; it’s just a secret)
Two year before (07.07.2015) cleared my personally imported leaf from Hambanthota port and drove it home by charging it from my friend’s cousin home at Beliattta. Since that I did approximately 20000 km within a year and did many long distances travelling too. I’m aware about some guys who did much more mileage by EV within a year but thought to share my experience since many guys claims leaf is only for urban usage, it’s impossible to use as first vehicle and not suit for long distance travelling. etc. In my case leaf is the only vehicle owned by me and normally twice a week I’m travelling from home to office (Beruwala to Colombo) and back which is about 126km journey by 80% to 90% battery drain. Now a days since I’m stay at Chilaw doing 167 km journey from Chilaw to office by single charge (Around 95% battery drain with A/C) Meanwhile I’m using leaf for official visits, defending on charging facility available and distance.
Even with much depth charging, many DC fast charging my leaf SOH still 83% and if i could manage this with less FC and depth charging my present SOH may be higher than this. I observed that leaf SOH drop by 1% from 100% to 99% at 10200km and during last year April to June within three months SOH dropped by 5% mainly due to high ambient temperature. Furthermore, battery temperature bars went up to 8 bars 8 times and up to 9 bars one time after DC fast charging during relevant period, which may badly be affected to significant battery degradation. I think high percentage of long journeys may reduce battery degradation; however more research on battery degradation is needed in order find out actual battery degradation rate under Sri Lankan scenario. Long journeys always better for higher battery life and more small trips seems killing batteries.
Did many long journeys such as, Kandy, Katharagama, Monaragala, Arugambay, Jaffna, Anuradhapura, Giradurukotte, Maha oya, Embilipitiya, Nuwaraelia, Hatton, Ella, Kanthale etc
Due to less availability of FC or L2 on rural areas, high waiting time, road terrain, time consume for charging and range anxiety you may think twice prior to plan long journeys by EV. But if you consider about environment aspect it’s always pleasure to realize that you are doing a zero emission less environment impacting journey and only tire sound disturbing rural environment. Furthermore, I did 1065km during Jaffna journey without using any FC too. I always prefer to adopt good eco driving techniques and reach the destiny by obtaining highest energy efficiency than wasting time at charging stations.
Even there are few bad experience, much time wasted, I’ll continue long journeys by EV and as an environment enthusiast I’m very happy about leaf experience and will use this EV at least another one year till I upgrade to higher range developed version of EV.
EV’s are here to stay
