what kind of problems have you faced while travelling with a sri lankan passport ?

Not yet so far. Travlled to Malaysia , Bangkok , Singapore , Vietnam and recently to the Germany. No any issued faces so far.

එහෙම ලොකුවට කියන්න තරන් දෙයක් නැ. හැබැයි කොහෙවත් ගනන් ගන්නෙනන් නැ ඉතින්. පහසුවෙන් කරන්න පුලුවන් evisa වගේ දේවල් අඩුයි. නියිජිරියාව වගේ රටවල් අපි ජෝගියට ගත්තට ඒ රටවල්වලට අපේ රටට වඩා පිළිගැනිමක් තියෙනව. ඉතින් එහෙම අවස්තාවක ඒ ගැන හිතල දුක් වෙන්න වෙන එක, එක අවුලක් විදිහට කියන්න පුලුවන්

Easy to type . English as a Universal Language. ඔන්න මම සිංහලෙන්ම කියන්නම් ඔය කතාව ඉංග්‍රීසි කතාකරන්න බැරි උන් කියන කතාවක්. කඩ්ඩෙන් කතා කළා කියල සිංහල වඳ වෙන්නේ නැහැ යාලුවා. ඉංග්‍රීසි අමාරු නම් බැරි බැරි ගානේ හරි මෙහෙම කතා කරන්න.

Our Foreign Ministry is shithole. We cannot still get on Arrival Visa for most countries. Even Indian passport is much better than ours. In the 70s Sri Lankans did not need a visa for UK. Now look at it they are screwed.

Sri Lankan Government should sign agreement with all countries giving visa free access to them in return for visa free access us. Look what UAE did to EU, They asked all diplomats to get paid visa if they want to work in UAE. They forced all those diplomats and families to get visa. What happened they allowed all those UAE citizens visa free access to EU.

We should do the same. Charge for visa what they charge for US to enter their countries.

Sri Lanka should even have agreements to take back its citizens who come there illegally. That would force people not to seek asylum in other countries. Sri Lanka should charge heavy fines for those asylum seekers.

talking about asylum seekers i assume you mean economic migrants who pose as asylum seekers to get economical benefits in developed countries! true! they dont deserve any asylum because they're not true asylum seekers. most developed nations are starting to realize this now.

talking about visa fees and strict rules you should see how those people from developed countries get pissed when they see a country trying to put a minor restriction on them. they make our people pay a very high visa fee to access their countries while wasting our money and time on document work when we try to visit their countries

yes you're right. our passport wont be one of the worst passports in the world if we have a strong foreign service and a stable economy. no one likes to visit any country on holiday if the document work is too much! the only problem is as sri lankans we dont have a choice. we are a country running out of loans. we need to fix this problem from the bottom.

the most disappointing fact is even some developing countries with low living standards put strict rules on us . this proves economy is not only the reason behind this. in cases like this i assume this happens because we have a poor foreign service. we need highly trained professional diplomats to deal with this in a smart way. i believe india has a better foreign service than us. we are just kids compared to them.
