    how to reddit 101

There are few things you need to understand, reddit is technically a discussion board (or forum) kinda like elakiri itself.

There is a subreddit for practically anything that you can think of, not to mention these are heavily moderated and often have set of rules or karma requirement to follow before posting. It’s generally good idea to read the sidebar or pinned threads before posting. Also make sure you’re posting in relevant subreddit. Don’t forget the fact that the majority of reddit users are westerners so you’re expected to write posts in good English with least amount of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, otherwise prepare to be ridiculed in PMs. Additionally, reddit doesn’t like spam. If you’re planning to advertise your blog or youtube videos or anything along those lines I’d say stay away as those posts will either end up getting removed or downvoted.

Also, the quality of content you post there is a big deal, always search before posting new topics as users don’t like duplicate threads on the topics that are already being discussed. And never try to claim credits for someone elses’ work as this might even get you banned from the community. Original content can be tagged as [oc] when posting. Some subreddits require you to have post titles in specific way or have x amount of karma. Have a look at available post flairs and use them if possible. Usually the people who are subscribed to certain subreddit are passionate about whatever that subreddit is about so it’s generally a good idea not to get into arguments in comments unless you have solid points, otherwise those comments would be heavily downvoted.

Like many things in life, there’s a bit of a learning curve to reddit as well. I suggest you to lurk around for couple months and you’ll get the flow eventually. Good luck.

    *EDIT*

BTW if you need account NOW that already has significant amount of post and comment karma, there are accounts available for sale. Look it up. (I don’t have any, Please don’t ask)

    This is the thing!
You have to find the exact subreddit that suits your posts.
