Reasons to choose BIT:
It is cheaper.
You can study and complete it by yourself.
It is part time.
Offered by UCSC - A state university
It's a 3 years degree - which means you can complete and get into a job quickly.
It has a good syllabus.
Good enough to land a job.
Reasons to not choose BIT:
It is a 3 year degree - if you want to do higher studies.
It is just an IT degree. (usually categorized as undergraduate) - No fancy wordings like Bsc, Hons etc.
UCSC does not care about the people who follow BIT (They do care about your money though
) - Other than that, they don't seem to give a fuck about you lol. It is not even easy to get information from them. Difficult to contact etc.
You have to work hard in order to get a pass / good class. (No connections with lectures or those who make the papers. You got to study well)
It usually takes more than 3 years to complete (unless you work hard)
My opinion, as someone who did BIT :
If you want to land a job in the IT industry, you have to work for it. (Degree is just a tiny part of it). So make sure you prepare for jobs, do whatever necessary (in addition to what's being taught for the degree)
And the answer to your question "BIT අඩු කුලේ ද?" - No. Not at all.
