    I believe If we used engine start-stop smartly then able to save fule lot. Usually, we know where we need to stop in a particular traffic light by the experience we do have. So such a situation enables the engine to stop if the waiting time is likely to be more than 30 sec. If the waiting time is less than 30 seconds then no point to stop the engine. It will burn more fuel in the stop/start cycle . Some traffic lights ran about 3 mins so having a stop engine was able to save a lot of fule on idling. This all happens in my muscle memory now.
    yes.
    tire pressure should be recommend 35 PSI
    tire brand matters a lot

    I still have ecopia tires 35 PSI I personally not recommended in Sri Lanka suburban road. Too many vibrations in the side of the cabin due to potholes. I usually maintain 32 PSI. If I go out from Colombo (depending on the condition of the road I expect) I raise a few PSI values.

    It depends on physical condition & driving pattern. Let's consider the factors.

    1. Fuel
    Use 95 Octane. If you fill from IOC try to refill with IOC octane 95. If you use it from Cepetco refill with Cepetco 95 & Always try to keep your tank full to get maximum efficiency.

    2. Tyre pressure.
    Suzuki recommend tyre pressure is 42 Psi. But it's for the Japanese road conditions. Stingray made as Japanese domestic vehicle to comply with Japanese kei regulations. kei cars mostly design to Reduce traffic & air pollution in Japan. (Later they identified the potential & export those vehicle to other countries) In Srilanka we facing deferent kind of road condition as well as temperature. So my opinion is tyre pressure should in between 33-37 Psi. Because when temperature rising air inside the tyre start to inflate. In Japan temperature vary from 0-30 c. In Srilanka the scenario will be deferent.

    3.Speed
    Always try to obey the Speed limits. keep RPM below 2000. When gears sifting RPM rises to 3000 & get down again to 1500. You will get maximum efficiency when drive in between 60-70 Kmph & also try to drive in eco-mode ( when dashboard color is green its the eco-mode)

    4.Cargo
    When you having more wights in your vehicle fuel consumption will be reduce. I have achieved 28.2 Km/l for 500 Km with 2 passengers & 27.1 Km/l for 750 Km with 4 passengers. Don't buy spare wheels stick to the tyre repair kit. ( those readings were also tested by our old fashioned method, full tank to full tank. Result are same. Only few decimal points ware different.)

    5. Traffic
    Traffics will ruin your fuel consumption, specially in Colombo. Do not turnoff idle stop mode or shifting to sport mode in traffic conditions.when you stop in idle stop mode if you turn your steering wheel or remove your feet from the brakes car will start again & you may waste some fuel as well.

    6. Driving pattern
    Use Pulse & Glide method. This was originally invented for Toyota Prius second generation . This method tested by many experts & recommended for the drivers. Theory is simple. Assume you want to drive 60 Kmph. What you need to do is accelerate car to 70 Kmph. This called as pulse. Then remove your feet from accelerator & wait decelerate 50 Kmph. This called as glide. By doing this you achieve your average speed & save more fuel during the gliding. But my recommend is only to use downhill glide. When your in a downhill remove your feet from the accelerator. Then you dash board color will change to white & this moment engine wasn't consume fuel. ( do not change the gear to neutral) The fascination thing in stingray is s-ene charge introduced by Suzuki. At the moment when you remove the feet from the accelerator hybrid battery starts charging. ( you can see those shifting from the dashboard) that battery will power your audio systems, AC , ect..... If you're hybrid battery get charged enough it wasn't consume fuel for AC & audio systems. Once you realize vehicle getting decelerate gently push the accelerator. Dashboard color will change white to green slowly. In This method vehicle speed or RPM wasn't change & no need to have unnecessary braking as well. ( if you need more information about this technique please refer internet or youtube)
    Hope those techniques will enhance your fuel efficiency.

    Also if you need to check you current fuel efficiency please reset your average fuel meteor by accessing to dashboard.
    I have achieved 31.6 Km/l with 4 passengers and 40kg cargo in southern highway from Galle to Kottawa . Before entering to the highway I reset my meter & when I exit from Kottawa meter reading was 31.6 Km/l. Hope to see your progress as well.

    Great post. I have experienced the same

    Heavy trafiic nam 15-20
    Normal traffic 20-22
    Normal road without traffic long and short trips can achieve 25-30
    Highway avg speed 60 to 75 - 30-35
    Highway avg speed slow acceleration with lot of pulse and glide method can achieve 35-40 kmpl

    MH55S

    Heavy traffic - 14 (max)
    Normal City - 19 (max)
    Long distance 20 - 22.

    මේ සේරම ට්‍රිප් මීටර්, ඇවරේජ් සීරෝ කරලා බලපුවා. RPM 2000ට අඩුවෙන් තියාගෙන අනන් මනන් නැහැ. අවශ්‍ය තැනදි අවශ්‍ය විදිහට පාගලා යනවා.

    IMO, එන්ජින් ස්ටාර්ට් ස්ටොප් එකනම් ඒතරම් වැදගත් නැහැ. ඒකෙන් ඉතිරිවෙන තෙල් ටික බැට්‍රිය දාන්න උනාම යුආසා එක (කම්පනි සහ බොහෝ දෙනා රෙකමන්ඩ් කරන එක) දැම්මොත් එතනින් යනවා.
    ඕවරල් එමිශන් බස්සගන්න නම් ඒවා හොඳ ඇති.

    Daihatsu Mira 2018 (Non hybrid car)

    Very bumper to bumper traffic -> 7 ~ 15
    Average in city -> 17 ~ 19
    Outside long-distance flat road like (Dambulla to Anuradapura)-> 27 ~ 35 (This very depend on terrain)
    Hill country -> (19 ~ 24)
    Highway ->30+

    This is my first car. I drove this car for around 2 years now. I always calculate the fule economy for each trip. It's a kind of habit I do have. I am really impressed with fule figures even worst time of fule quality.
    Agreed. I also use Mira (2015) & almost same results. But never seen below 11. :D
