Minoxidil does not regrow hair but it slows down hair loss rate in my experience. Regrowth is very limited (just a few hairs). However, it will vary for individuals. If you wanna regrow hair, then a hair transplant is the most widely applied solution. That also depends on certain factors, such as the number of donor hairs, and the severity of your hair loss
The affected areas are the scalp and the crown. But there is a little hesitation in me for using minoxidil. Based on the options that I have I think that is the most risk free option. But I don't know whether it will speed up the hair loss.
How long have you used Minoxidil? Do you have any regrets in using that? I know getting a hair transplant is a good solution but as far as I know you have to take Finasteride after the transplant.
I have used it for a long time more than 3 years. It did not regrow hair significantly but at least it slowed down. Therefore, I do not have any regrets because I know for sure without it I would have lost more hair. Since I still have hair in my forward area I am keeping my hair short. Minoxidil does not work for receding hairlines, it only works for thinning. Is Finasteride mandatory after HT? This is the first time I am hearing it. Finasteride severely affects libido isn't it?
