Maybe Before September. Try to store food as much as possible. ( Specially rice and wheat) Food price will go up continuesly.

Shelf life of wheat is 6 months ( on freezer it's 1 year )

If stored properly, milled rice will keep almost indefinitely

    We grow our own 😌
I didn't talk about growing earlier because most of friends were lazy to do it when I suggested them to grow their own plants. Growing your own plants and raising chickens for eggs is the best thing you can do to overcome food issues. Learn about vertical farming and hydroponic farming if possible.

Maybe in the US, not Sri Lanka... their manufacturing and packing process kill rice weevils that infest rice from the field itself and/or when rice is in storage - not so in SL - that's why you sometimes find rice weevils even in unopened rice bags

Even in Sri Lanka you can get a good shelf life for rice if you store it properly. Rice is something that you can store for a long time.

How you store it won't matter if it's contaminated from the field itself or when it was in storage before packing

We have been doing this regardless. So no difference.

Also you can raise Quails if you like their tiny eggs. Quail are smaller than chickens , they generally require less space chickend

Not everyone sell contaminated rice. Where do you get your rice from ?

AFAIK no rice producer in SL freeze their rice before packing in order to kill possible weevil eggs unlike in the US
So any rice producer in SL could be selling rice contaminated with weevils

Are you trying to say most people are eating contaminated rice in Sri Lanka ? ( because rice producers are not freezing their rice ? )
