No they have Cloud Platform. every DB nowadays has cloud version. so they eventually moved to cloud side
Most of them turned to development side to some extend. so they can perform DB specific tasks more efficiently than other devs

If you take ORM's most of the people think fresh development.
but if you think a large platform they still need some SQL manipulation. even though Stored procedures has reached to its end other DB tasks need to be done specifically.

If you think of continues delivery some pipelines still need to produce SQL scripts and manual intervention. some parts still needs to be done manually.

NO and Yes
If you study those things you will have better view of whats going on with the computer.
so with that knowledge you can achieve places and techs others cannot even think of. but here what i propose

if you are a startup or some SE level person you can divide your career in to two parts
1. Your normal dev life that keeps you in a good job . this is a must because you need a job to survive
2. in other life you can follow about Computer architecture/ Quantum computing / Machine Learning / ethical hacking. so by doing this you will be a whole new person. you will see the Computer fully that typical person cannot see

Most important thing is that when time comes you can combine above two life's and be one of a kind tech pro.

මම Web Development වලට ආසයි. Wapka.mobi, xtgem.com, blogspot වල 8,9 වගේ ඉන්නකොට සයිට් හැදුවා ආතල් එකට. ඒකෙන් ආසාව ආවෙ. එලකිරිය ගැන දැනගෙන ඒකට ආවම adsense ගැන දැකලා සයිට් හදලා ඒකෙන් සල්ලි හොයන උවමනාවට ඉගෙන ගන්න පටන්ගෙන ඊට පස්සෙ හොයපු සල්ලියක් නෑ මෑතක් වෙනකන්. ඒත් කතුහලය නිසා එක එක දේවල් ඉගෙන ගත්තා.
Web development ඇයි software engineering කියලා ජොබ් ලිස්ට් වල දාන්නෙ?

මම දැක්කා මේක ඇතුලෙම කට්ටිය .net වලින් js වලට මාරු වෙනවා. එතකොට .net කරන එක අනාගතයක් නැති වෙයිද? Field එකේ මාරු වෙන නිසා අහන්නේ. මට js දැනුම හොඳ මට්ටමක තියනවා.
C++ master කරන්න හැදුවේ මම performance හොඳ නිසා. මට මේක ගැනත් අයිඩියා එකක් දෙනවද

එකට මුලින් කරන්න ඕනේ ඔයා ඉගෙන ගන්න දේවල් මොනවද කියල ඉගෙන ගන්න එක. උදා .net ගතහොත් ඒ පැත්තේ මොනවද කරන්න පුළුවන් , තියන ටෙක්නොලොජි, ඒවා පාවිච්චි වෙන විදිහ , ඒ පැත්තේ යන්න පුළුවන් උපරිමේ සහ හදන්න පුළුවන් උපරිම සිස්ටම් ගැන දැනුම මුලින් කටුවට හොයන්න ඕනේ.

ඊළගට උඩින් ගත්ත දැනුමෙන් ස්ටඩි ප්ලැන් එකක් ගහගන්න. මම මොනවද ස්ටදී කරන්න ඕනේ කියන එක. අන්න එතකොට ඔයාට අර මම මුලින් කිව්වා ප්‍රශ්නෙට උත්තෙරේ ලැබෙනවා. ඊට පස්සේ ප්‍රැක්ටිකල් එක්ක අර ප්ලැන් එකට යන්න තියෙන්නේ
