I'm gonna be in Vietnam in 2-3 months for a month or so and planning to go to Sapa. looks like a pretty nice place to hike.

it's unfortunate that this is happening. women in VN are absolutely gorgeous
Visit the Sun World - Bà Nà Hills - World's longest singe track cable car ride. Takes you up about 5000 ft to a beautifully landscaped small French style village resort. The scenery climbing up and down and on the top is really nice.

cool, thanks for the suggestion. will add that to my to-visit list in Vietnam. I was in Da Lat the last time. There are some nice hikes around there but almost nothing to do in the city itself. I was there for 3 days and was kinda boring

The Bà Nà Hills some refer to as the Da Lat of the Da Nang province. Da Nang is a coastal city an old French Colonial port. We flew in from Hanoi. You can do some treks here. There are places to visit like the Marble Mountain, Monkey mountain etc. My son went snorkeling somewhere.
Hội An, the lantern City is very close approx 30km or so.

PS: Make a visit to Cambodia as well. It's very cheap (food and accommodation) over there. The only major feature is the Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which will take almost a day. The guide will be there with you for about three hours and leave you to do on your own sight seeing.
The Cambodian people are much nicer than the Vietnamese. Rural Cambodia is quite nice. Only the temples seem to be wealthy. You can fly in to Phonm-Penh and fly out from Siem-Reap saving the time on the return trip.
We visited a place called Phnom-Kulen, many do not go there and the driver told me that they visit once in a lifetime. It's a holy place and there's a rock temple with a massive reclining stone Buddha - but the Buddha's head rests on the left hand - instead of the usual right. Nearby there's a lovely waterfall with fish that bites your dead skin off. (The same fish that's called Dr Fish or Massage Fish)
Note that Cambodia is different to Vietnam although the countries appear similar

Sadly the Sihanoukville area (sea port) has been ruined by the Chinese mafia. With the Chinese BRI there was an influx of hundreds of thousands of Chinese and the gangs spoilt everything running extortion, prostitution and scamming. The mainland Chimese gangs made their HQ offices in Sihanoukville.
Some travel operators just gave it a miss and now the Cambodians have brought back some control. But the Chinese money also brought in massive construction creating infrastructure.

viet girls are pretty in general
much more than the women in arshiklands. I would honestly pick a Viet woman over arshikland woman anyday

thanks for the tip. I will surely visit Cambodia and Thailand later but I'm gonna stick to Vietnam for my next trip. I have a friend in nothern Thailand and it would be fun to hike there. more than anything, I love the food in the SEA region. delicious and cheap. generally speaking chinese are a menace to the whole world

    :D
so far almost all my encounters with viet women has been positive but Ive yet to taste the high end
& when you compare the expenses, it's like 3:1 vs here.
Only thing I missed in viet was our/ indian cuisine & spices. I like their food but doesn't hit me such as indian or even japanese food
Need a bit more flavor imo
But I had some barbecue pork while visiting a girl, best gddam street food Ive had
