Every day I travel a lot. I want to read books while traveling. Even though I love the touch and feel of a real book, it doesn't work for me when I'm traveling. Do you have any experience using the Kindle Paperwhite while traveling? What do you think?

I used very few times. but wasn’t working very well for me. But i know some guys who read their kindles for hours during travel

For me, audio books are the perfect solution. i cam finish 20hour long book in two or three days. very effective for me, for fiction, non fiction and even for technical ones

Hi, thanks for your reply. I heard that EPUB files are not supported on the Kindle Paperwhite. How do you read EPUB files on the Kindle Paperwhite, and how do you add PDF files from your local computer to the Kindle Paperwhite?

Epub files are supported, you can add as much epub files as you want via your PC. I recommend calibre ebook manager - you just plug your kindle in, select the epub files you want to transfer and the ebook manager will convert the epub books to AZW3 (amazon's proprietory ebook format) and upload them to the kindle. You don't even have to be connected to the internet.

if you like to read a kindle is a great investment. I've read around 20 to 30 books on my kindle so far and I usually read for hours at a time
the eink screen is not harsh on the eyes like a phone or tab screen.

Used ekak dennam 40. used කිව්වට පාවිච්චි කරේම නෑ හීරිලා වත් නෑ. මොකද කියන්නේ ???? Paperwhite with backlight, Capacity 2GB, WiFi, Magnetic Back cover එක ෆ්‍රී දෙන්නම්. ඒක නම් ටිකක් සවුත්තු වෙලා නමුත් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්.

I don't think they've made a 2gig version in a long time. how old is this kindle?

think twice before buying. i love to read paper books but kindle paper white didn’t work for me
i have one, used very few times, (now my kid is using it)

if you like to read, audible subscription might be a better option.

did you get eye strain when reading? what happened?

not really. one thing could be having very high expectations with kindle and the real device wasn’t up to those high expectations, i started using Audiobooks just after getting the kindle since audiobooks worked very well for me, didn’t go back to the kindle again.
don’t get the real book feeling with the kindle too.

this is a very personal feedback, lot of people says kindle is the perfect solution for heavy readers. so others will definitely have different feedback

For me it's the other way around. I'm very hesitant to use earbuds or a headset and only use them for meetings even when I have no alternatives. I'm okay with listening through speakers but using earbuds is not for me.
