DYNA Vision was earlier 24 hr CNN channel and belonged to IWS a close associate of then ruling party VOLVO and Jag Agent in SL at that time .
Etv was East West group and intially it was BBC 24 hr free to air channel but due to some intellectual property issue later they aired Sky TV which was very first in South Asia. Later Etv also had another channel which aired Star Plus (this became later Sinhala Swarnavahini after both channels were brought by Edirisinhe Group.
I do not know who owns these now as I have stopped watching them long time ago. (they both aired very good programs such as Larry King Live, Apprentice (Trump) , including some Best English films of that era. We were lucky to watch such high quality journalism compared to half backed biased ones that you get now in local as well as foreign channels including BBC and Sky.
