I believe in Aus it's necessary to appoint a worker as a Fire Warden and ensure the availability of Fire Extinguishers, fire blankets etc., in-house..

Not sure about the details of this factory fire but if the fire started from the Thinner barrell, a Dry Chemical Powder (ABE), Carbon Dioxide (CO₂), or Foam extinguisher, could've extinguished the fire..

Not sure if a worker used water as it would spread the fire..

Also down here for Insurance purpose its necessary to have those proper mechanisms to prevent/ extinguish fires..

even in here they nominate a similar person, but I don't think they take the responsibility serious, or most of the external trainers don't force it into the management's mind enough. the management wants to get the job done for cheaper.. not the quality.

the reason why I know is, I am coming from a family whose father was in military+fire, rescue and safety industry. I personally know how pissed my dad was when he hear them managements want to cheap out on safety.
