when i try to install ubuntu 9.04 2dywhen install progress going it goes to 'Configuring At' in there when it says 'Scanning Mirror'and it goes till 82% and stops i tried it fro several times same results.can any one tell me what the issue is ?

ya i tryed to multi boot with XP.is net connection is problem for installation ?

to scan the mirror the setup needs access to the net during the setup. It then downloads the list of packages. If your net speed is low, this process will take some time.

when i ddnt had net earlier this prob ddnt cause .if i dissconected the line and install what will be the bad effects ?

Great news for local Ubuntu users.
Schoolnet,lk now hosts a local mirror.

It has repos for i386 and AMD64 architectures (that's for 32bit and 64bit architectures respectively).
