What if the court decision is wrong? It has happened in the US and other countries. I am sure it is happening in Sri Lanka and Saudi as well.

Death penalty was there in all countries at some stage. In America, it is now active only in 35 States out of 50 States. 15 States have abolished it completely.
92 other countries have also abolished it completely. In 42 countries, it is there in the law books, but not implemented it for the last 10 years or more. Sri Lanka is one of those 42 countries.
Many countries have it for political offences such as conspiracy to overthrow the government. Muslim countries have it.
We must look at it without getting angry or emotional. We must also use our head (if we have a head!)
So, you want to bring down the crime rate? And to do that, you suggest death penalty for rape and child abuse? You have the right to hold that opinion. But I disagree.
More than half the countries in the world have abolished the death penalty.

my personal view is I agree with da death sentences,
coz there are certain crimes which it is necessary,
i dont see anythin wrong hanging a murderer or a rapist

In the United States, all European countries, in fact, in all countries other than Islamic states, the offence of rape is not punished with death under their law.
