Trade Unions attached to the Petroleum, Water, Electricity and Port sectors have decided to launch a work to rule campaign from November 11 until the government meets their salary demands, Secretary for the Trade Union Front of the Ceylon Electricity Board Mr. Ranjan Jayalal told Daily Mirror Online.
This decision was taken after a meeting was held between Trade Unions today at the Viharamahdevi Park after the recent talks between the Trade Unions (TU) and officials ended on negative note with the TU rejecting the salary increment plan forwarded by the government.
