Four daredevil freestyle motocross (FMX) exponents from the world’s No 1 freestyle motocross series – The Red Bull X-Fighters – is set to thrill Sri Lanka fans at Galle Face Green on Saturday evening on November 6th..

South African Nick De Wit, Belgians Jimmy Verburgh and Gilles Dejong, Czech Martin Koren will bring a slice of the world class FMX action from the Red Bull X- Fighters World tour, which has been thrilling hundreds of thousands FMX enthusiasts around the globe since 2001, to Sri Lanka for the very first time.

In 2010, the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams, a series of international freestyle motocross exhibition shows, often attracted just as many fans as the events making up the main Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour.

Said De Wit, who was one of the first professional FMX riders to come out of South Africa “The sport of FMX is getting really huge all over the world. The reaction we get everywhere we go for exhibition tours have been phenomenal.”

Whatever the event, Jam or World Tour, the performances of the pro riders in 2010 have left fans on all five continents often rubbing their eyes in disbelief at the tricks on show. This season the members of the international freestyle motocross elite competing in the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2010 completed almost 800 jumps, of which over 500 were flip tricks, and flew 17,000 metres in the process, making them true kings of the skies.
