In my opinion, "reflect" is one of the most misunderstood terms in Buddhism. In this context, it doesn't mean trying to interpret your current experience using the Dhamma (or the Thrilakshana). As you've probably gathered from these talks, doing that doesn't make sense at all because our subjective experiences are inherently flawed anyway.
Instead, "reflecting" means fundamentally shifting your perspective (or perception rather). The experience may be the trigger in this case, but it’s not about analyzing the specific experience you're having, but rather training your mind to see the underlying nature of experience itself through the Dhamma. One of the most bizarre things here is that you come to realise this way of reflection through the dhamma it self...
I'm definitely struggling to put this into words, can you tell? It's a tough concept to put into words!

Yes, that is a characteristic of a wrong path.ok putting all together:
wrong path: you have the sense of satisfaction with moments when a piece of understanding clicks BUT even they initially it seems make sense when reflecting (training your mind to see underliying nature of experience) they create more questions and inconsistencies.
is this correct what you say?

Don’t be, its simpler than you thinkok, bit confused now.
This was me in the past, literally.lets say you dont have prior knowledge (from pitaka and stuff) and go to a teacher who teaches wrong damma (you dont know, coz you dont have prior knowledge)
now as you said, you feel satisfaction when you understand new things that he teaches you. now according to his teaching there is no training on underlying experience and you dont know anything about that kind of training from your prior knowledge either. now what? how would you get out from it? how do you even know that you are missing that kind of training?

The short answers are:
- you can’t get out of it.
- you won’t know what’s missing.
The important thing here is that when you are in the correct path, these issues suddenly become irrelevant. I thought after all these discussions, you gathered the answers to these particular questions, but let me explain.
If you remember at the very beginning of our discussion, my issue wasn’t about validation or making sure if I am following the right path. It was about the questions on this existence. So, If I am getting satisfactory answers to those questions by following this path, why do I need to get out of it? And, why do I need to worry about what I “might be” missing if can’t think of anything that is missing at this moment?
At the end of the day, its not about teacher is right or wrong, its about getting satisfactory answers to my questions... I seek liberation, not validation.

Precisely, and that is a fact. Its pure luck (vipaka) that you are in the correct path and nobody else other than yourself and the load Buddha himself can verify this. Most people are in the wrong path IMHO.you can pretty much be on the wrong path (something buddha never said) and you woudnt even know it.. cant you?
plus, you cant even get out of it
Yes, that is also true, as I said, its pure luck. If බෝසතානන් වහන්සේ satisfied with that and stopped his search, we wouldn't have a load Buddha.this is exactly what alarakalama followers had too. they were looking for satisfactory answers and liberation. they got satisfactory answers to their questions and liberation too from that path. but nowhere near true nirvana that buddha showed.
