Would love to see more public transportation services rather than taxis/private vehicles, unfortunately the statistics suggest different human behavior than what we would like to see.

you've interpreted what I meant in incorrect way.
I specifically stated in the comment 'tuk tuk', not 'taxis'. proper implemented taxi system is essential for the country. that's a must.
This 'tuk tuk' craze in sri lanka is a cancer to the public transport as much as buses are.
So stating what I meant in the previous comment with bit more clarity, We must reduced 'tuk tuks' and move to 'company managed proper taxi services', just like we have to do with private busses.
