Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni once again stopped over in Sri Lanka for a short stay en route from a trip to East Asia.
During his stop-over, President Mahinda Rajapaksa hosted the African leader to lunch at the Temple Trees.
Sri Lanka’s relations with Uganda has reached a new high in the recent years with President Rajapaksa visiting the country twice, respectively in 2007 and 2013.
President Museveni made his first visit to Sri Lanka in November 2013.
“At today’s meeting, the two heads of state spoke about maintaining the strong ties the two nations have developed over the years”, announced President Rajapaksa’s office.
