Yasantha wasn't a theoretical physicist

he was just good at solving advanced complex mathematical problem than Jeff bezos probably the best in the uni at that time.
bu solving math problem or getting a good grade in Math course doesn't produce theoretical physicists.
Albert Einstein has poor grade as a graduate student when he was at college after out from college he failed to find good job for him until he landed to job as a patent clerk which offered by one of his kin.
he finished his work remains working hours he use for his scientific works.
no one recognized Einstein as genius until he publish paper about general relativity in 1905.




so this little story tells us being good at math and having a highest GPA doen't make anyone Scientist or theoretical physicists.
Jeff realized it earlier and he acted to change his path to electrical engineering
today he is the richest person on planet

sadly our Yasantha didn't realized what he really capable of he just followed typical sri lankan's academic path .
we didn't know him until Jeff mention about him in this little story

Problem in sri lanka is most intelligent people will work as academics, normal people will do jobs and least intelligent people will try to be an entropenours.
Its an attitude problem. That's the mindset of our university students. Because no one (friends and family) fucking care how many jobs you will create, they only care about your educational achievements.

I express my thought here according to this topic only.


our country been produces highly academic people and intellectuals since the day western education started.

how many intellectual or highly skilled academic people have created jobs for at least for one person ?
our mother nation suffered bloody civil war for decades
how many so called intellectual and highly academic people have provide any solution to end that war ?

how many of them have had a solution to prevent bomb blast before it happens ?

Problem in sri lanka is most intelligent people will work as academics, normal people will do jobs and least intelligent people will try to be an entropenours.

Attitude problem isn't with intelligent people. It's among all. I'm very much happy if most least educated people become entrepreneur. Because, then all subject expertise could solve issues and help entrepreneur, get salary and enjoy.

There is a limit an uneducated methodical person can achieve, you cant build up an empires like amazon alibaba or FB if you are unintelligent, even if you hire the most intelligent ppl.
We need more intelligent people as entropenours .. they can be happy as a person solving academic and useless problems. But that will not help for a failing state like SL. We can't afford that as a country.
