ඔබ ව්‍යාකරණ (Grammar) නොමැතිව ඉංග්‍රීසි ඉගෙන ගත යුතුය

That's what happens when you don't learn English from a native speaker.
Wha? You go to read dis article before commening here :D

    @vito ,

    Interesting perspective from Stephen Krashen,

"It could be the case that researchers are defending their own economic interests. They continue to search for a role for grammar not because they believe in it but because they have sold out to big publishers who make profits from grammar-based materials. I have no evidence that scholars have been deliberately dishonest, but the potential for conflict of interest exists."

I totally agree with this article.

I would prefer a native english speaker as my english teacher.

There is a thing called Google Translate. I can understand Sinhalese, but unable to produce words my own so I used Google Translate to convert English to Sinhalese then edited out some silly words manually :D

I thought you can fluently read and write Sinhalese

this a bit of a stretch without any evidence to back it up, but an interesting notion nonetheless
but on the hypothesis suggested by the input hypothesis, they certainly ring true based on my own experience
we learn more from out of class experiences than the rote learning methods that are being used in most classrooms
    You seems missed my edit.

    I have Aphasia.
I think it should be: you seem to have missed my edit

When you hit 20S it is very hard to learn second language.when you become adult brain doesn't like to release acetylcholine.you can learn new language but need tremendous focus.
Nonsense. This is entirely disputed by the hypothesis.

    The paper is here,

Regarding his point, I can relate via Climate Change. You have all sort of academics who dispute climate change and they are funded by Oil & Energy companies.

Steve Jobs tried to fix education, but he couldn't because of bureaucracy :D

Yup, it's a myth based on non-compelling evidence. In-fact, recent studies display that Adults learn faster than kids.

Without going into more details, I'd refer you to,

    https://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2019/11/do-kids-really-learn-languages-faster-than-adults/
    https://financialenglish.eu/why-adults-learn-quicker-than-children/

which is based on following studies,

Age and learning environment: Are children implicit second language learners?
    https://www.cambridge.org/core/jour...age-learners/457C069A5339D656788E7E8D217B2A3A

Age and Ultimate Attainment in the Pronunciation of a Foreign Language

PS : The topic is highly debated and is in war mode. It's like Religion and Atheism.
