Anyway I still say the popularity of sports is due to the competiveness of it and not the clothing they wear.
Also there a people who have done a lot to make some sports famous and sometimes when they leave it isn't that famous again. eg: female UFC

but yes the amount of guys randomly watching some events might increase when the covering decreases. but that doesn't keep them stuck as fans. just seasonal.

Not seasonal. That's why rules force females to wear less.

I have copy pasted one example. You can find many.
