Not really "necessary" but your evaporator will last longer if you do it - replacing the evaporator on most modern cars is a PITA, you have to dismantle the dashboard to get to it

But you have to keep the blower running or it wouldn't make a difference - what I do is turn off the AC with about 5 minutes to go until I reach my destination.

මම නම් අහල තියෙන්නෙ water vapour නිසා mold හැදිල ac එක දැම්මම අමුතු smell එකක් එන එක නවත්තන්න කියල.
daily running නම් අවුලක් නැතුව ඇති.
