You do not need to avoid becoming pregnant before or after vaccination. Getting the vaccine before will ensure your protection against the virus throughout your pregnancy. Pregnant mothers are at a higher risk and it makes a lot of sense to take the vaccine. The antibodies will pass onto the baby as well.

Vaccines do not affect fertility. All vaccine makers have done studies much earlier with animals to ensure embryo safety. Lately many studies were done with pregnant women, there's no evidence at all to show that vaccines poses any risk.

Anyway, by the end of 2020, there were more than 30,000 registered cases of pregnancies listed with CDC. Children have been born and there was no no difference in miscarriage, stillbirth, pregnancy complications than that would appear on average unvaccinated group. All other countries do vaccinate women.
Don't worry about no data availability within SriLanka. We are not a different species.

With the trial Phases, it's over an year now.... The emergency use approval was early Dec 2020. If there was any concern it would have come to light by now.
In any case weigh the risks. How many pregnant mothers lost their lives. With Delta it's another ball game. Play safe rather than getting worried over fakebook posts.
