Cheeky detail on billboard selling 'life-changing' sex toy​

Sex toy company Normal is Australia's top-rated sexual wellness brand with an average rating of 4.7 stars from over 25,000 satisfied customers who describe their products as "outstanding" and "life-changing".
However, despite Normal's global success, they've faced harsh restrictions on advertising their products. Founder Lucy Wark revealed she was told by advertisers that they couldn't use the word "vibrator" or show one on a poster, adding that traditional advertisers won't even allow brands to say "sex toy" or show one in an ad. "We face a lot of roadblocks from advertisers every time we run a campaign," she said.
Instead of accepting defeat, Lucy found a cheeky way to showcase Normal's sell-out products by making some small tweaks to their billboards. "We're just covering Australian cities in posters about how our "vbriators are on sale" and blurring out an object that could possibly be our bestselling vibe Quinn on the image," Lucy explained.

Normal first tackled the issue head-on with their This Is Normal campaign, calling out double standards around sexual wellness and urging advertisers to update their attitudes toward the topic. "These regulations are falling behind contemporary community values, but while they're still in place, we're definitely going to have some fun with them," Lucy said.
