These protest ultimately strengthen the rajapaksha clan.

They won't step down & instead they will adapt to the new normal, now they have understood that tolerance against protesting is far more vital tool than use of suppression & violence.

Why I'm saying this is that tolerance will create a positive image of gotabaya globally , this might reduce pressure ,criticism comes from West as long as the government stay clean from interfering protests.

As long as rajapaksha clan tolerate protest the power hungry opposition won't wait as they need power. Opposition will use all of their tricks which rajapaksha clan will capitalize to stay in power.

Sadly the general public won't see changes they expect , the corrupt will stay in power , opposition will dream on regain & commoners get fuck as usual.

JVP are equally responsible as an active part in the govt in power since 1994 and specially in 2005 election where MR just got 50.3%with jvp support.
They were against necessary reforms such as price formula for oil (Wimal and JVP , Tilvin against it 2002!!) and most of the reforms in govt sector including necessary privatizations!! So they should not be part of this protest as they are equally responsible as main political stream!!
