This is in SL and we do not know latin and our schools do not teach latin. There are no Latin teachers , too.
But our National Selector and (later nearly missed being the only adult actor)a short lived commentator said 'pas'(instead of dust) is coming off the wicket when the ball hit the ground. If 'pas' or soil is coming off then the wicket is badly damaged and should not be suitable for playing cricket at international level.
